This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement for a service agreement for Applied Biosytem3130xl and 3730xl. Service agreement is for A one year service agreement contract (with the opportunity to extend for a second and a third year) for the Applied Biosystems 3130xl and 3730xl DNA Analyzers. The service requirement for the Applied Biosystems 3130xl (16 capillary) and 3730xl (96 capillary, but currently using as a 48 capillary array) is to include full support within 96 hours for all parts failures due to normal wear and tear (parts, labor, travel), one preventative maintenance visit per year (parts, labor, travel), and unlimited telephone support. Preventative maintenance includes travel to and from the site, annual inspection, re-calibration, performance verification of subassembly and electro-mechanical components, and certification that the instrument is performing to specifications. Consumables or consumable parts (polymer, capillary array, syringes, running buffer) are not covered, although the laser is covered for both the 3130xl and 3730xl. These systems are currently under service contracts and have been serviced within the last year. The serial number of the 3130xl is 18222-019. The serial number of the 3730xl is 18127-013. Minimum Requirements The successful applicant must have at least 3 years of experience servicing Applied Biosystems 3130xl and 3730xl DNA Analyzers. They must have access to the necessary parts and software updates to service these pieces of equipment within 96 hours of an initiated service call. Period of Performance Base: November 18, 2019 - November 17, 2020 Option 1: November 18, 2020 - November 17, 2021 Option 2: November 18, 2021 - November 17, 2022 See attached Statement of Work for more information. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation has been issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued in within 24 hours of closing date and time.
