The Bureau of the Census is issuing this notice as a combined synopsis/solicitation for #1 grade, wooden pallets. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 51-SO-BC-20-00002 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2020-01, dated October 10, 2019. The Census Bureau anticipates one award resulting from this notice. Award will be made to lowest priced responsive, responsible offeror meeting all specifications and requirements. CLIN001 - Wooden Pallet, #1 Grade, 42" Wide x 48" Long, Single Stringers, Full Entry on the 42" Side Only, All Boards Shall be Flush with no Overhang. Quantity Requested = 7,200 each • 6-8 top boards with no more than a 2" gap in between • 5-7 bottom boards with no specific spacing requirements • Top and bottom boards no less than 1/2" thick; three stringers no less than 1" thick • Type of wood not specified as long as the completed pallets hold approximately 1,200 pounds • Heat treating is not required (or necessary) CLIN002 - Variance up to 10% + (Overrun) or - (Underrun) of Line #1 = 720 Pallets Be sure to include all shipping and handling charges to the delivery location. Delivery is FOB Destination to: US Census Bureau/2020 Site 100 Logistics Avenue Receiving Dock Jeffersonville, IN 47130. Acceptance at same location. Anticipated Delivery Schedule as Follows: First Delivery 14 Days ARO (After Receipt of Order) = 300 pallets Then 300 pallets Every Two (2) Weeks until order is complete. Deliveries may be accepted ahead of the proposed schedule at the Government's discretion. Awardees must be registered with the System for Awards Management (SAM.gov).
