The U.S. Census Bureau (USCB) in support of the Economic Reimbursable Division is seeking information on how an interested contractor could provide administrative records of Telecommunication Operating Company Numbers (OCN). Telecommunication companies are assigned specific codes to uniquely identify each service provider using industry standard Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) requires most telecommunication providers to be assigned an OCN. The OCN identifies the company and the type of telephone numbers assigned to consumers. Some competitive local exchange companies (CLEC) are excluded from this OCN requirement. The U.S. Census Bureau (USCB) wants to acquire quarterly data sets listing the OCN for the United States, Washington DC, and Puerto Rico.
