It conducts laboratory intercomparison studies twice each year. The samples used for the comparison study need to be produced and shipped from one location. Guidance, documentation, and results from the study can be reviewed online at http://qasac -americas.org/. Tasks to be performed: 1) Prepare approximately 100 sets o f three synthetic rainwater samples in the ISWS-HEAL laboratory for each study. Target values for the three samples should reflect a low, medium, and high value for global rainwater. The rainwater samples will be measured for pH, Conductivity, as well as sulfate, nitrate, ammonium, fluoride, chloride, sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium ions. 2) Ship samples to participating labs approximately twice each year. Track sample shipments, work with international shipping partners, and prepares appropriate documentation for import/export purposes. 3) Facilitate laboratory data entry and organizational structure of the QA/SAC - Americas database. 4) Facilitate and respond to communication and data requests with participating laboratories. Coordinate external vendors in management of website platforms and structure, as appropriate. Make enhancements to the website to facilitate data dissemination to users. Deliverables 100 sets of three synthetic rainwater samples must be produced in a lab experienced with handling rainwater samples. Target values for the three samples should reflect a low, medium and high value or global rainwater. The rainwater samples will be measured for potential hydrogen (pH ), Conductivity, sulfate (SO4), Nitrate(NO3), ammonia (NH4), fluoride(F), chloride(CI), sodium(Na), potassium(K), calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+). 17.
