The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Peerless-Winsmith, Inc. for replacement Gearbox Kits to support NEXRAD maintenance. Performance will occur at the National Logistics Support Center in Grandview, Missouri. The original equipment manufacturer is the only qualified source capable of delivering the specified K1 and K2 Gearbox Kits. Using another vendor would require significant funding and labor for qualification testing, which is currently unacceptable. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, but firms that can fully meet the requirements may submit substantiating documentation for evaluation.
