NOAA intends to award a sole-source purchase order to VectorNav Technologies for VN-100T-CR Wave Sensors, based on compatibility with existing systems. The sensors will be delivered and performed at Stennis Space Center, MS. The justification is that the VectorNav product outperformed alternatives in testing and is needed to replace obsolete sensors to maintain critical wave observation capabilities. While this is a pre-solicitation notice and not a request for competitive proposals, firms believing they can meet the requirements may submit substantiating documentation in writing within 15 days after the notice's publication. Any such submissions will be evaluated to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted.
