GNSS-based tide buoys and moorings
The National Ocean Service requires two GNSS-based tide buoys and moorings to support coastal tidal data collection, with delivery to Chesapeake, VA by December 31, 2026. Each buoy must be deployable from a small vessel, weigh under 200 lbs, operate continuously for at least 60 days without maintenance, and include a self-sustaining solar power system. The system must use a multi-frequency GNSS receiver, pitch and roll sensor, Iridium communication, and a web-based GUI for configuration.
