Response - Yes, the inert gas purge system is covered as a sub-item with the EZ-2.3. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION 1333ND23QNB640073 Genevac Centrifugal Evaporator Maintenance This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6- Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a separate written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued under the authority of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-01, effective 12/30/2022. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811219 – Other Electronic & Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a Small Business size standard of 22Million Dollars. This acquisition will be solicited as a Full and Open competition. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Material Measurement Laboratory (MML), Biomolecular Measurement Division (BMD), Mass Spectrometry Data Center (MSDC) is responsible for the development of the NIST/NIH/EPA mass spectral, tandem mass spectral, and peptide libraries. As part of developing these libraries, a variety of sample preparation techniques are required, many of which require sample cleanup protocols involving solvent centrifugal evaporation. To continue this mission, the division requires maintenance for a NIST owned Genevac Centrifugal Evaporator.
