The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Museum and Archives located in Gaithersburg, MD seeks to improve Museum and Archives users and staff experiences with a central system for the management and administration of the NIST Museum and Archives collections. They seek to accomplish this by acquiring a license for access to and implementation of a comprehensive, integrated, cloud-based Museum and Archives Collection Management System (CMS) to replace the current Museum CMS, current front-facing digital archives system, and assorted decentralized archival collections data, which are insufficient for the collection’s needs. The license shall provide access to a system that provides unified and efficient management of all resources that the NIST Museum and Archives owns, licenses, stewards, and makes available to end users for discovery and delivery. In addition, the license shall provide access to a system that enables NIST Museum and Archives users quick and accurate access to electronic, physical, and local collections, bibliographic data, and full text content of its electronic assets.
