Amendment II: THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO ADDRESS A VENDOR QUESTION THAT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED REGARDING A REQUIRED SPECIFICATION AND TO EXTEND THE DUE DATE FOR QUOTATIONS TO ALLOW VENDORS TIME TO REVIEW THE ANSWER AND PREPARE THEIR QUOTATIONS ACCORDINGLY. QUESTION: In regards to minimum requirement 1 (e)(iv) Must have non-magnetic encoders, what do you consider acceptable? ANSWER: While there are generally magnetic materials involved, the ‘non-magnetic’ classification is meant only that the item offered shall not be labeled specifically as ‘magnetic’. Other classifications, such as “Optical”, “Resistive” or other such titles may be fine, even if there are some magnetic materials involved. The Government’s intent is to limit those materials, where possible. DUE DATE/TIME FOR QUOTATIONS HAS BEEN EXTEDED AS FOLLOWS: FROM: 12 PM EST, JULY 31, 2020 TO: 12 PM EST, AUGUST 4, 2020 ALL OTHER SOLICITATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED.
