Is there any known detrimental reaction between HCN and PZT, or the green-colored urethane coating on some PZTs? Response: It does not appear there will be any problem with HCN and the materials mentioned. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged as a result of this amendment. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in far subpart 12.6, streamlined procedures for evaluation and solicitation for commercial items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. this announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a separate written solicitation document will not be issued. THIS SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED USING SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR PART 13 FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL ITEMS. The Request for Quotations (RFQ) number is 1333ND20QNB640560. This synopsis/solicitation constitutes a RFQ and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2020-07 effective August 03, 2020. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333314, Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing, which has a size standard of 500 Employees. This acquisition is being solicited under full and open competition. Offerors must submit all questions concerning this solicitation in writing, via email, to both the Contract Specialist, Latish Walker, latish.walker@nist.gov and the Contracting Officer, Andrea Parekh at andrea.parekh@nist.gov. Questions should be received no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on August 12, 2020. All responses to the questions will be made in writing, without identification of the questioner, and will be included in an amendment to the solicitation. Even if provided in other form, the question responses included in the amendment to the solicitation will govern performance of the contract.
