The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) requires procurement of 21 Herman Miller ergonomic officer chairs for the NOAA Ship Fairweather, with delivery to the vessel at 2002 SE Marine Science before fiscal year 2027. This is a total small business set-aside with a brand name requirement, and quotes will only be accepted from authorized Herman Miller distributor/resellers. Chairs must meet marine-duty specifications, including corrosion resistance, a 300 lb weight capacity, and at least a five-year warranty on structural components. Evaluation will be a best-value tradeoff giving significantly more weight to technical approach and past performance than price, with a firm fixed-price purchase order anticipated.
