The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has a requirement for Storage Infrastructure Managed Services (SIMS). As a result of the USPTO’s exemption from the Competition in Contracting Act, the SIMS requirement is being procured by leveraging the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act, 35 U.S.C. § 2(b)(4)(A). Based on the circumstances described in the attached sole source justification, the USPTO determined that no company other than Peraton, Inc. can successfully meet the agency’s needs.
