This announcement is a Request for Information (RFI) and draft Request for Proposal (DRFP)/Solicitation Approach for the Business Applications Solution (BAS) project for the United States Department of Commerce. This announcement does not constitute a formal Request for Quotes (RFQ) or Request for Proposals (RFP). No contract will be awarded from this announcement and the announcement is not an indication that the Department of Commerce will contract for any of the items and/or services presented in this document and attachments. Any formal solicitation that may subsequently be issued will be announced separately. The BAS project's primary objective is to implement and integrate a suite of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) administrative management systems, enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and business intelligence (BI) reporting solution, and system interfaces in a hosted environment. The Government invites industry to review the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) and draft Request for Proposal/Solicitation approach and related attachments and provide capability statements as well as questions/comments on efficient and/or economical requirements development consistent with industry best practices. The Department of Commerce is not responsible for any cost incurred by responders to this RFI/DRFP.
