NOAA intends to negotiate a sole-source award with Johnson Controls Building Solutions to provide a Metasys Building Automation System (BAS) and related components for installation and commissioning of an upgraded HVAC BAS at the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. The requirement is driven by NOAA’s enterprise BAS, which relies exclusively on Johnson Controls Metasys components and software; non-Metasys parts are incompatible and cannot be integrated. The existing system runs on unsupported Windows 8, further necessitating the upgrade. Johnson Controls is the sole GSA contract holder for the required Metasys BAS component parts.
