Navigation Response Branch has an URGENT and COMPELLING requirement for: - replacement of the navigation and communications equipment - a complete electrical survey of all electrical circuits and components - polishing the gasoline in the fuel tank - replacement of the shift and throttle cable for the outboard engines - replacement of the scuppers with a ball-type scupper - option for growth identified and reported in Condition Found Reports during the contract execution phase These work items are needed to return NRT-Seattle's vessel S3006 to operational readiness following the sinking of the vessel at the dock. S3006 is the only NOAA Navigation Response asset in the Pacific Northwest. In the current condition, there are no assets immediately available to respond to events such as downed aircraft, sunken vessels, or other natural or man-made disasters that impact waterways in the Pacific Northwest. It is critical to return S3006 to operational readiness at the earliest opportunity.
