This task order supports the NCEP, CPC, which provides real-time products and services that predict and describe climate variations on timescales from weeks to a year, promoting the effective management of climate risk and a climate-resilient society. The support services provided by the contractor assist CPC with Scientific Support Services that combine the operation and development of extended and long-range predictions, monitoring the global climate system, identifying and evaluating climate anomalies, and providing climate information products based on user needs. The support services are critical to the office’s ability to support and improve sub seasonal and seasonal prediction, and climate monitoring activities.
