The Contracting Department, NOAA AGO Eastern Acquisition Division, Norfolk, VA 23510 intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order utilizing policies and procedures of FAR Subpart 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The Government intends to upgrade/replace the existing topographic-bathymetric lidar system (including support services, maintenance and licensing) to a modern, two-channel airborne topographic-bathymetric lidar system for the National Ocean Service (NOS), National Geodetic Survey (NGS), Remote Sensing Division (RSD). The planned Request for Quote (RFQ) number is 1305L220QNCNL0195. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 333316, Photographic and Photocopying Equipment Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,000 employees. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about June 9, 2020 by downloading the documents on beta.SAM at beta.SAM.gov. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available for download at the above site; this office will not issue hard copy solicitations. By submission of a quote, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
