This sources-sought notice seeks interested vendors able to perform manual snow survey measurements at Camp Creek, Kilgore, Irving Creek, and Webber Creek; quotes are not being accepted at this time. Measurements must follow Agriculture Handbook 169 and occur within acceptable windows near the first of each month per the listed Jan–Apr schedule, with measurements outside those windows not accepted or reimbursed unless approved in advance by the Boise Snow Survey Office. Data may be provided by phone, fax, or preferably email if original notes cannot reach the Boise Snow Survey Office by the second day of each month. Government-provided equipment, including the snow sampling set, must be returned to the nearest NRCS Field or State Office when measurements are complete before payment can be processed, and invoices must be submitted online via www.IPP.gov. The work supports NRCS’s manual snow-course network in remote mountain snowpack zones, requiring local contractors with over-snow travel equipment, snow samplers, terrain knowledge, and experience calculating snow-water-equivalent.
