This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only as part of USDA ARS market research and does not itself constitute an RFQ. Background The Research, Education, and Economics (REE) Mission Area, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Beltsville Human Nutrition Research Center (BHNRC), Food Components and Health laboratory (FCHL) is seeking a service agreement for it’s Vitros 4600 (serial number (J#) 46001751) clinical chemistry analyzer manufactured by QuidelOrtho. The contractor shall provide services and supplies as outlined below to keep the equipment running within specifications by providing preventive maintenance and other services as tasked below. TASKS TASK 1: REPLACEMENT PARTS The contractor will provide replacement of all worn-out or defective non-consumable parts on covered equipment replaced during an on-site service visit will be at no charge. Deliverables: This service shall include an annual maintenance kit which includes specific consumables. TASK 2: PERIODIC MAINTENANCE The contractor will provide periodic maintenance (PM) Deliverables: Clean, test, and maintain covered equipment is recommended as indicated by the covered equipment service manual. This service includes all labor and parts used during the PM. Install Health and Safety related Modification Kits on covered equipment. PM calls will only be made between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm local time, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal and local holidays. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT AND GOVERNMETN FURNISHED INFORMATION The government will not provide a workspace, telephone, desk, computer, printer, Internet access, access to duplicating machines or fax. The government will make available to the contractor Vitros 4600 serial # (J#) 46001751 for use during a contract. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall provide service updates to the technical contact. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Travel costs will be covered by the contractor, and is expected to occur Monday through Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm, excluding holidays. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE The place of performance will be at the USDA Research Center in Beltsville, MD. The Contractor Shall: This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of USDA ARS market research. The Government does not intend to make an award based on responses to this inquiry. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources including any Small Businesses; HUBZone small business; service-disabled, veteran-owned small business; 8(a) small business; veteran-owned small business; woman-owned small business; or small disadvantaged businesses.
