USNPRC, TMRU intends to purchase a Cytation5 Multimodal Reader for their research. The required specifications for the reader are to allow its combined capacity to function as an incubator, robot and reader. In addition to the basic unit many capabilities are added in this order to make it operational for our use. These include the operation software, the set of 4 objective lenses for phase and fluorescent photographic documentation, set of filter cubes and LED bulbs for blue, green, yellow and red fluorescent microscopy, Petri dish and flask adaptors so that measurements can be made with these culture formats in addition to the standard 96 well plates. Critical for our needs are the atmosphere controls provided by the gas controller for CO2 and O2. Finally, the system includes dual reagent injectors for timed inhibitor/inducer additions. We need this capacity as we are searching for enzyme inhibitors etc. A joystick is requested to allow fully controlled operation. Critically important, in addition to the equipment, is the training purchased with this item. The vendor will set up the apparatus and provide detailed instruction on its use and care. The government anticipates award of a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the specifications will be most advantageous to the Government.
