The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Plant Protection and Quarantine, Spotted Lantern Fly Facility in Minersville, PA, is in need of a new three year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract to supply circle trunk trap capable of capturing the spotted lanternfly, Lycorma delicatula. Insect traps and attractants are sensitive detectors of insect populations at the group, genus, or species level. Insect trapping allows for detection and monitoring of non-indigenous insect pests and aids in a variety of control strategies. If not detected, monitored, and managed in the early stages of a new infestation, these pests can cause tremendous damage. The cost of eradication could be in the millions of dollars. The solicitation and evaluation procedures will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) parts 12, and 13 using the format found at FAR Subpart 12.3 and supplemented with additional information included in the solicitation.
