The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, has a 3,046-sf single-story building in need of major renovation. The building, located in Coral Gables and consisting of offices and labs, is roughly 60 years old. It’s been vacant for 10 years. All mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems have been abandoned and/or removed. Thus, the building needs a complete overhaul to become code compliant. Renovation will provide office and laboratory space for five or six scientists. The NAICS code for this project is 236220—Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $45 million. The estimated magnitude of the project is between $1 million and $5 million. The project will be set aside for HUBZone small business concerns only. The solicitation will be posted on or about May 8, 2024. It is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor this site for the solicitation and amendments, if any.
