The USDA Forest Service seeks qualified sources for the reconstruction of Gallinas Canyon Road (NFSR 263) in the Santa Fe National Forest, New Mexico, a post-fire recovery project for the Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon Fire that will restore access and protect Gallinas Creek, a drinking-water source for Las Vegas, NM. The anticipated construction magnitude is more than $10 million, and the work includes major roadway reconstruction/realignment, 14 bridge replacements, major retaining-wall complexes, and associated engineering, environmental, and construction administration services. The Government is assessing industry capability to take the project from approximately 30 percent design through final design, procurement, construction, and closeout, requiring integrated expertise in roadway, structural, geotechnical, hydraulic, environmental, surveying, and stakeholder coordination. Interested firms must support an accelerated schedule: a procurement-ready package advertised by September 2027 and construction completion by 2030. Responses are voluntary and for market research only, with the Government not reimbursing any costs associated with preparation or submission.
