The USDA intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to BioChambers for Flex Series LED Reach-in Plant Growth Chamber Model FXC-10 (Qty 2) Including installation, commissioning and training. The purpose of this contract is to secure BioChambers Flex Series LED Reach-in Plant Growth Chamber Model FXC-10 with the following Specifications: a. Real-time control of light, temperature and humidity allowing researchers studying how crops adapt to changing environmental conditions. b. Control system and chamber is compatible with other BioChambers plant growth chambers c. Equipped with dimmable LED lighting system with a spectrum designed for plant growth. d. Two door design without center stanchion. e. Connection ports for a client supplied CO2 sensor system allowing for logging of CO2 data. f. UPS back-up of the chamber controller that others only offer as an option. g. Feedback sensors in the refrigeration and electrical systems allowing for improved remote diagnostic service levels. h. Tach sensor outputs with alarm outputs on all fan motors. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
