Solicitation: 968789NSGIL Agency/Office: Agricultural Research Service Location: North East Area (NEA) Classification Code: B529 Scientific Data Studies NAICS Code: 541380 - Testing Laboratories Title: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: Illumina, Inc Description(s): The USDA ARS - NEA intends to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Purchase Order (PO) to Illumina, Inc 5200 Illumina Way, San in support of the ongoing research at USDA ARS NEA Soybean Genomics Improvement Laboratory located in Belltsville, MD 20705 for twentyseven Infinium HD iSelect-24 Kit (48 samples, 3072-90K) . The Firm Fixed PO will include the following: 1. Infinium HD iSelect-24 Kit (48 Sampleas,, 3072-90K) contains 2 custom BeadChips designed to interrogate between 3072 and 90,000 custom targets and reagents to process 48 DNA samples through the Infinium HD workflow. Purpose: The purpose of this contract is to secure Illumina, Inc Infinium HD iSelect-24 Kit (48 samples, 3072-90K). The Infinium HD iSelect-24 Kit (48 samples, 3072-90K) contains 2 custom BeadChips designed to interrogate between 3072 and 90,000 custom targets and reagents to process 48 DNA samples through the Infinium HD Workflow. Illumina is the sole provider and source of the Illumina services in the United States. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination, by the Government, to compete this proposed PO based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses received by 9:00 AM EST, September 23, 2019. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
