The USDA-ARS Plains Area Conservation and Production Research Laboratory in Bushland, TX, requires third party safety inspection, repair and certification of all existing field irrigation equipment prior to beginning the 2019 spring cropping season. The required services include electrical and mechanical safety inspections, repair of all safety issues identified, and certification of equipment meeting all relevant industry and manufacturer’s safety specifications. Services will be provided for the following equipment: · Two 400 foot lateral sprinkler systems in the North Section · One 450 foot radius center pivot system in the North Section · One 1500 foot lateral sprinkler system in the North Section · One 850 foot radius center pivot system in the South Section · Eight electric submersible irrigation wells · Seven booster pumps and pumping stations · Two variable frequency drive (VFD) controllers for the two center pivot systems See attached Statement of Work for details. The successful contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision in performing all operations required to provide the inspection, repair, and certification of existing field equipment. All details are specified in the attached Statement of Work. The solicitation number is 944639JBP and will be issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). It incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-88. This acquisition is a Total Small Business set-aside. The contract performance period is 30 days from the Notice to Proceed date. A pre-bid/site visit may be scheduled by contacting will.willis@ars.usda.gov. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Contractors are required to register or update their registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) website at www.sam.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation.
