U.S. GOVERNMENT United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) seeks to lease the following space: State: Texas City: San Benito Delineated Area: The land must be within the boundaries of Cameron County, Texas Minimum Contiguous Sq. Ft. (ABOA): 24,000 SF (land) Maximum Contiguous Sq. Ft. (ABOA): 26,500 SF (land) Space Type: Land Parking Spaces Surface (Reserved): N/A Full Term: Five years (60 Months) Firm Term: One year (12 Months) Additional Requirements: 3,000 to 5,000 SF outbuilding with electricity and water on site Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards per the terms of the Lease. A fully serviced lease is not required. Offered space shall not be in the 100 year flood plain. The land must be accessible by a regularly serviced road. Roadway must allow semis to maneuver easily and turn into property. The U.S. Government currently occupies space under a lease in San Benito, TX, that will be expiring on October 31, 2020. The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government’s requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
