NRCS-New Mexico Cultural Resources Inventory and Recordation Services
The NRCS is seeking a contractor to conduct an intensive pedestrian cultural resources inventory of four projects on private and New Mexico State Trust lands in De Baca, Guadalupe, San Miguel, and Torrance Counties, New Mexico. The combined acreage of the areas of potential effects (APEs) is 2,647 acres, ranging from 170 to 1,091 acres per project. The inventory is required under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act because the projects receive federal funding through USDA’s Farm Bill for conservation practices. The goal is to identify historic properties that could be adversely affected before implementation of the planned conservation practices. No budget amount or performance timeline is specified in the description.
