This is a synopsis and is ONLY A NOTIFICATION that a solicitation will be issued. The USDA Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Operations Branch, Acquisition Division is preparing to issue a solicitation on behalf of USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for work to enhance degraded wetlands and improve habitat for wetland dependent wildlife on the Montgomery property in Tazewell County, Illinois. In addition, all disturbed areas will be seeded and mulched upon completion of construction. The performance time to complete the project will be 15 calendar days. CONTRACT INFORMATION: Total Small Business Set-Aside Place of Performance: Montgomery Property, Tazewell County, Illinois Magnitude of Construction: between $25,000 and $100,000 The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has a size standard of $45 million. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), FAR Part 13 and 36 apply. A bid bond is not required and there will be no formal bid opening. A Request for Quote (RFQ) is being solicited and the anticipated solicitation issue date is on or around December 19, 2023. Award will be made to the lowest priced, responsive offeror. A payment bond (100% of the offered and accepted price) or other approved alternative payment protection will be required by the successful offeror within 7 days of award. To be eligible for contract award, interested contractors must be registered as Active and must complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligble for award. No state level certifications will be accepted. A formal site showing will be held and the specific details on date, time, meeting time and place will be made available with the solicitation package.
