FOR INFORMATION ONLY: This is NOT a solicitation. This is a synopsis and is ONLY A NOTIFICATION that a solicitation will be issued. The USDA Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Operations Branch, Acquisition Division is preparing to issue a solicitation on behalf of USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for remedial repair of the Pine Creek Watershed Site 18 that is situated within the Blackland Prairie and East Cross Timbers physiographic area of Lamar County, Texas. The remedial repair work will consist of reshaping the existing plunge pool and armor the plunge basin and a length of the exit channel with R-150 rock riprap. New barbed wire fence will be constructed around the plunge basin to exclude cattle from entering and around the watering ramps to direct cattle into a watering area downstream of the new armored plunge basin outlet channel. CONTRACT INFORMATION: Total Small Business Set-Aside Place of Performance: Pine Creek Watershed Site 18, Lamar County, Texas Magnitude of Construction: between $250,000 and $500,000 The North American Industrial Classification System code is 237990, which has a size standard of $45 million. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated under sealed bidding procedures FAR Part 14. The anticipated solicitation issue date is on or around August 23, 2023. Award will be made to the lowest priced, responsive offeror. A bid bond in the amount of 20% of the bid price is required to be submitted with bids. Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% of award amount will be required within 7 days of award by the successful offeror. To be eligible for contract award, interested contractors must be registered as Active and must complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award. No state level certifications will be accepted. A formal site showing will be held and the specific details on date, time, meeting time and place will be made available with the solicitation package.
