The work will also consist of the mobilization and demobilization of the contractor's forces and equipment necessary for performing the work required under the contract. The work shall also consist of the excavation required by the drawings and specifications and disposal of the excavated materials. The solicitation will be a Total Small Business set-aside. Interested contractors must be registered in and must complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award. A firm fixed price construction contract is anticipated under Simplified Acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13 and FAR 36 will apply. Request for Quotes are being solicited, and can be supplied via email. Award will be made to the responsible offeror representing the best value to the government. An alternative form of payment protection will be required after award in the form of either a Payment Bond (SF-25A) or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit (ILC), in the amount of 100% will be required within 10 calendar days of award of the contract. The anticipated period of performance for this project is 30 calendar days from the date the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
