The United State Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Iowa State Office requires services for augering/drilling, retrieving soil materials, conducting field tests, and collecting soil samples per the attached combined synopsis solicitation, statement of work and specifications. The work also includes the furnishing and maintenance of equipment, operating personnel, and supplies. The objective of the work is to determine the characteristics and extent of various subsurface materials on an NRCS earthfill dam that has experienced slope failure on the downstream face of the dam and associated sand boiling in the outlet channel.
