As authorized through the PL 566 Dam Rehabilitation Program, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service under a project agreement with the Chester County Water Resource Authority (owner and operator) are seeking to rehabilitate the Hibernia Dam located in West Caln Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The objectives of this project are to rehabilitate the dam to meet or exceed state and federal dam safety criteria, to maintain the current level of flood protection, maintain the current level of availability of water supplies provided by Hibernia Dam and Chambers Lake Reservoir, and maintain the current recreational values and aquatic and terrestrial wildlife habitat values provided by Chambers Lake and its adjoining riparian lands by implementing the established design for rehabilitation. The design requires installation of a structural concrete cutoff wall across a portion of the auxiliary spillway, installation of a filtered rock toe berm on the downstream side of the embankment, berm grading on the downstream side of embankment and improvement of existing access. This project will be a Total Small Business Set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisiton is 237990. The small business size standard is $39.5 million. Bidders are urged to inspect the site where the work will be performed.
