Amendment 0004 This amendment extends the due date to 21 March 2022 at 0800 EST Amendment 0003 The contractor is responsible for scouting the area to determine acres and weed types. The bid is to conduct weed control on all easements regardless of acres. It is bid as one job not by the acre. Amnedment 002“Is the Poison Hemlock a solid stand ?” Answer: The area outlined on the maps is a mosaic of Poison Hemlock and Giant Ragweed. Amendment 0001 “Are we expected to spot treat the hemlock?” Answer: “Spot treating is not required for that area, other application methods may be used” “Can we use a cut stump method of treating the woody species?” Answer: “ Yes cutting and then treating the stump is an acceptable method for this project.” The USDA-NRCS is conducting management activities of brush control, herbaceous weed control and prairie establishment in Freeman and Newry Townships in Freeborn County, Minnesota. The activity required for these sites will include scouting and spot treatment of woody vegetation and herbaceous weeds, seeding site preparation, seeding grasses in specified areas, and providing post-seeding maintenance (mowing/spraying). Site preparation may include chemical and/or mechanical treatment (mowing).
