May 4, 2021 - Updating to add question and answers received. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Minnesota is conducting weed control actions on Wetlands Reserve Easements (WRE) in a 12-county area of western Minnesota. A total of 2,000 acres will be sprayed in these counties, with the NRCS option to add additional acres and time if needed. Typical site size ranges from 40 – 160 acres. The activity required for these sites will include scouting and identifying weeds, and then spraying the weeds in a timely manner. Contractor must have the ability to complete small native grass seedings up to 40 acres with a no- till grass drill and the ability to complete light site prep and clipping with a rotary mower. All questions should be submitted to Julie.Simpson@usda.gov and Ambera.Harris@usda.gov by no later than COB on May 3, 2021. Questions submitted after May 3, 2021 will not be answered.
