SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is an RFI/sources sought only. The purpose of this RFI/ Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 337214 (size standard of 1,000 employees). Responses to this Sources Sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses, a solicitation announcement may be published. Further, responses to this Sources Sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Production and Conservation Business Center (FPAC-BC), is seeking qualified sources that can provide and deliver the requirements described below. Please note that these requirements are not finalized and are subject to change based on the responses to this RFI/Sources Sought. The information identified below is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the products that will be satisfactory. Requirement Description: Requirement: The USDA has a requirement to redesign an office space. Project includes disassembly of 17 existing Herman Miller workstations and build a redesigned office layout of 26 workstations using existing Herman Miller workstation components and new Herman Miller workstation components, relocate 30 vertical files, cut and re-edgeband 16 worksurfaces and electrify workstations. The USDA is seeking qualified small business vendors that can provide new Herman Miller workstation components that can tie into existing Herman Miller workstation components. PROCEDURES: This RFI/Sources Sought is a required component of a complete and systematic process to evaluate interested parties in order to minimize cost both to potentially interested parties and the USDA FPAC-BC. Any submission of product literature or catalog cut sheets will be treated separate from, and will have no bearing on, any subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in response to any resulting future formal Request for Quote (RFQ). Interested parties should provide a statement of interest on company letterhead (not to exceed 1 page in length) to the email listed below. The statement of interest must include the complete company address, DUNS number, point of contact information, socio-economic classification associated with NAICS code 337214, Office Furniture (except Wood) Manufacturing, and an estimated performance period to complete the requirements. No basis for claim against the USDA FPAC-BC shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. Elaborate proposals or pricing information are neither required nor desired. Any innovative and new conceptual ideas to achieve the stated objective are encouraged. At this time no solicitation document exists for this RFI/Sources Sought. This notice is for informational purposes only; it is not a request for quotes, nor should it be construed as a commitment by the USDA.
