The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Production and Conservation Business Center (FPAC-BC), is seeking qualified sources only, that can provide the requirements described below. This RFI/Sources Sought is a required component of a complete and systematic process to evaluate interested parties in order to minimize cost both to potentially interested parties and the USDA FPAC-BC. Please note that these requirements are not finalized and are subject to change based on the responses to this RFI/Sources Sought. The information identified below is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the products that will be satisfactory. Interested parties should provide a statement of interest on company letterhead (not to exceed 1 page in length). The statement of interest must include the complete company address, DUNS number, point of contact information, socio-economic classification associated with NAICS code 336112, Light Truck and Utility Vehicle Manufacturing, and an estimated delivery to provide the requirements. Two removeable truck bodies are needed for two Ford F350 Crew Cab Vehicles, owned by the National Water and Climate Center. These service bodies will be used to store equipment used to maintain the SNOTEL (SNOwpack TELemetry) and SCAN (Soil Climate Analysis Network) sites across the Western United States. In order to use the bodies between multiple trucks, and for a longer periods, the bodies need to fit within the current beds on the vehicles and must be removable with either jacks or forklifts.
