The solicitation and an... 6/08/2020 - Amendment # 1 The purpose of solicitation amendment 1 is to correct the solicitation and distribute additional documents as listed in the amendment-1 SF30 document. The solicitation and any resultant contract will be a stewardship project as authorized in accordance with Section 8205 of Public Law 113-79, the Agricultural Act of 2014 as amended under Section 204 & 207 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (Omnibus Bill 2018). This project is being advertised for full and open competition. This acquisition has been tailored to fit the Governments need for trading goods for services. The Exchequer Project is located on the High Sierra Ranger District of the Sierra National Forest encompassing the area around the Bear Creek drainage, from Exchequer Meadow in the north to McKinley Grove in the south. The project area of approximately 1,445 acers includes five mandatory contract items and three optional contract items. The stewardship contract will solicit offers on the following service items: Mandatory Work Items: Item 1 – Removal of sawlogs from Public Land on approximately 1445 acres (Non-Biddable). Item 2 – Road Maintenance on 29.90 miles of system roads. Item 3 – Road Reconstruction on 10.41 miles of system roads. Item 4 – Felling Cull Hazard Trees on 33.40 miles. Item 5 – Skidding and Decking Cull Hazard Trees on 33.40 miles. Optional Work Items: Item 6 – Remove Cull Logs from Forest – Unestimated Tons. Item 7 – Biomass Thin and Stack at Landing on 1445 acres. Item 8 – Remove Biomass from Forest – Unestimated Tons. The project includes removal of approximately 57,615 tons of Sawtimber along with an unestimated amount of Cull Logs and Biomass product and road maintenance. Any resultant contract will be a Construction contract with requirements for timber removal. The estimated price range for construction is: between $30,000 and $150,000. Project Location - The Exchequer IRSC Stewardship Contract Area is located in Township 10 South, Range 27 East, Sections 19, 30; Township 10 South, Range 26 East, Sections 10-16, 21-28, 36, Mount Diablo Base Meridian. The solicitation package was uploaded May 14th, 2020. The date of award is expected to be within 60 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and is subject to change with amendments to the solicitation. The contractors are encouraged to visit the site prior to the response date. A prebid meeting on site is scheduled for 05/28/2020.
