Stanislaus National Forest seeks to award a firm fixed priced contract for construction work to be performed on four recreational sites on the Calaveras Ranger District, the projects vary and are listed below. Site 1: Lake Alpine Recreation Area. Remove existing bike path and relocated 4” waterline under bike path alignment, reconstruct bike path in existing alignment. Abandon existing waterline in the lake bed in place. Site 2: Marmot Day Use Area, Lake Alpine Recreation Area. Demolish existing 4 unit flush toilet bathroom and sewer lift station, place two unit prefabricated vault toilet in existing toilet footprint. Site 3: (Option Item): Sourgrass Day Use Area. Seal interior of 10,000 gallon water tank. Site 4: Big Meadows Campground. Construct well house around existing well, relocate electrical panel, water meter, shut off valves, etc. per plan. Install float control panel in well house, place electrical conduit and wiring between well house and water tank. Install float switches in existing conduit. . (Option Item) Seal interior of 10,000 gallon water tank All sites are accessed from California Highway 4. Site 1: Lake Alpine Recreation Area, 0.3 miles east of Lake Alpine boat ramp entrance on Highway 4, Alpine County. Site 2: Marmot Day Use Area, Lake Alpine Recreation Area, Alpine County Site 3: Big Meadow Campground, Calaveras County Site 4: Sourgrass Day Use Area, Tuolumne County The solicitation package will be uploaded when ready, approximately 3/25/2020. The date of award is expected to be within 10 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and possibly changed in one or more amendments.
