Description of Work: Service provider shall furnish one unit for rental (snow grooming machine as per the specifications at C.6 in the solicitation) to the United States Forest Service, Stanislaus National Forest, Summit Ranger District in Pinecrest, California. Rental shall be paid at a monthly rate, to include up to 125 hours of operation. Should the actual hours used exceed 125 per month, the extra hours shall be paid at an hourly overage rate established in the Schedule of Items at contract award. Total amount paid over the course of the contract for any overage hours used up to 125 hours shall not exceed the monthly rate. Contractor Responsibility: Contractor shall be responsible for conducting all required maintenance needs (oil changes, etc.) beyond routine operator inspections. Contractor inspections and maintenance shall not be conducted on scheduled grooming days of Monday and Friday. Preferred maintenance days should be Tuesday through Thursday. Any repairs or replacements due to accident or breakdown shall typically be scheduled within 24 hours of notification to the Contractor, weather permitting. Orientation of snow grooming machine shall be provided to Forest Service staff operators by qualified/trained Contractor personnel upon delivery.
