The Plumas national Forest Seeks to hire Pit Drilling and blasting services from which will result in a Firm Fixed priced contract. The Contractor shall provide everything--including, but not limited to, blasters Licensed person to perform blasting, all equipment, supplies, transportation, labor, and supervision--necessary to complete the project, except for that which the contract clearly states is to be furnished by the Government. Project Location & Description The project is located on the Plumas National Forest, Feather River Ranger District. Description: Drilling and blasting Government own pit located at Walker Plains, T22N, R6E, Sec 4. Contractor to furnish supervision, supplies, and equipment to drill approximately 100 each - 3 inches holes in a 10 ft. x 10 ft. pattern as shown on Pit Map. Drilling of 100 holes will be on East side of pit, at top of ridge (only part of ridge will be used to develop aggregate base material, leaving a buffer zone between Pit and Plumas County Road 414) approximately 150 ft. on eastside of ridge toward south side. All holes on ridge will be 20 ft. - 30 ft. in depth, holes in bottom of pit range from 10 ft. to 15 ft. with a pattern of 10 ft. x 10 ft. Contractor to drill 6 - 3 inch test holes to depth of approximately 20 ft. - 30 ft. as shown on drawings. Contractor to complete blasting plan for submittal to Plumas County Sheriff Department and Contracting Officer for approval, before any blasting of pit begins. Accessibility: Walker Plains Pit location is accessible by passage vehicle, located 100 feet off of Plumas County Road 414 (Oro-Quincy Highway), which is a double lane paved road from Oroville Ca. to Walker Plains.
