AMENDMENT POSTING Amendment 0001 to add option items for additional work and increase the amount of ice dam underlayment required has been posted. SOLICITATION POSTING The solicitation and associated attached are now posted. An organized site visit has been scheduled for Thursday July 16, 2020 at 1000. Prospective contractors should meet at the Bogard Work Center, 622-275 CA Hwy 44, Susanville California. PRESOLICITATION POSTING Requirement: Removing and disposing of the existing metal roof panels, ridge caps, rake metal, flashing, and underlayment; removing and replacing approximately 340 square feet (18’x 19’) of damaged roof sheathing along with approximately 15 lineal feet of 2”x10” fascia board all at the front (south) side of the building; removing and replacing approximately 66 square feet of soffit (3’wide x 22’ long), reusing old soffit board if possible; repairing or replacing twelve 2”x6” damaged roof rafters underneath damaged roof sheathing; installing a 6 foot wide ice dam membrane along the roof eaves and in the valleys; installing roof felt underlayment; installing a new standing seam metal roof with ridge caps, flashing, drip edges, rake edges, and fascia, all sealed tight so that there are no leaks (i.e. around vent and/or roof penetrations). The rake edges shall be removed and new ones matching the existing rake color shall be installed. Location: Lassen National Forest, Bogard Work Center, 622-275 State Highway 44. From Susanville, head west on Hwy 36 and turn right onto Hwy 44. The USFS Bogard Work Center is located approximately 29 miles from Susanville. Estimated Magnitude (Price Range): between $25,000 and $100,000 Contract Time: It is estimated the project will start as soon as possible after award and be completed within 30 calendar days. Set Asides: This procurement is being solicited as a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238160. The related small business size standard is $16.5 million. Solicitation Info: Solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered. Site Visit/Pre-Quote Conference: It is anticipated an organized site visit will be held and has not currently been scheduled due to COVID-19 restrictions that are still in place. Once a date is determined the solicitation will be issued. Bonds: A Bid guarantee is not required to be submitted with the quote. A Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful quoter within 10 days of award if the award amount is over $35,000.00. Inquiries: Any prospective quoter desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc., must request it in writing soon enough to allow a reply to reach all prospective bidders before submission of their quotes. Oral explanations or instructions given before the award of a contract will not be binding. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
