**THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. NO OTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS ISSUED ON OR ABOUT THE DATE IDENTIFIED BELOW. Solicitation Documents: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) requiring both price and technical proposals responding to evaluation criteria described in the solicitation. Documents are available electronically to download from this website on or about April 14, 2020 Description: The project requires the furnishing of labor, equipment, transportation, supplies, and materials to replace the existing two HVAC systems (furnaces and A/C condensers) for the Chester Air Tanker Base Main Office Building (3500SF). The work consists of: Removing and disposing the current HVAC systems: two furnaces (Model: Carrier- 58MVP100-F-15120), two A/C condenser units (Model: Carrier 38TDB044300) and all associated connections as necessary. Replacing these units with energy star same sized units that will work and be compatible with the existing compressor, HVAC control system, and utility connections. Installing gas, electrical, flue, new coils, and condensate connections to existing utility systems as required by the manufacturer for the new systems; reconnecting the units to existing ductwork and minor modifications to utility closet space/control panel as required to accommodate the new units. Furnace Units shall be on propane gas, with heating 100,000 BtuHr, 90% or greater AFUE A/C Compressor Units shall be 4 Ton Energy Star qualified with a minimum 16 SEER rating, nominal capacity of 48,000 Btuh, designed for operation on 230/208 Volt, Single Phase, 60 Hz power. Testing, adjusting, and air balancing the HVAC system after installation Verifying proper operation of all equipment. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor will furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, tools, supervision, materials and any necessary incidentals to accomplish work on this project. Location: This project is located at the Chester Airtanker Base, Chester, CA 96020 Directions: From Susanville, go west along Highway 36 for about 35 miles. The compound is off the highway next to the airfield right across from the Almanor Ranger Station (shared address). Government Estimate: $25,000 - $100,000 Anticipated Start Date: May 25th, 2020 Set-Aside: This project is 100% set aside for Small Business.
