The purpose of this contract is to replace existing aged and broken HMA of Pine Creek Road (System Road 14S05 on the Descanso Ranger District (DRD) of the Cleveland National Forest to improve public traffic safety, access for fire management and recreation use. This contract provides for the equipment, labor, materials, services and permits necessary to perform work ordered by the Government, in compliance with its terms, specifications, drawings and provisions, for pulverization and road reconditioning per FP-14 Sec. 304, compaction FSSS method D, with optional Caltrans AB Class 2 aggregate base 1-1/2 in. max. followed by HMA CalTrans 1/2 in. max. Type A, PG 64 – 16 (Low Mountain Region) and installation of sign system. The period of performance for this work shall be 45 days from notice to proceed.
