The project will be delivered through a single award Design-Build Contract. The Design-Build Contractor (DBC) shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, geotechnical investigation, construction administration services, ancillary services and other necessary items to complete the Work. The Work includes multi-disciplinary design based upon Forest Service-provided Project Definition Documents and existing designs that will be integrated and evolved into a complete set of construction drawings. Additional deliverables anticipated are a project manual, schedule of values, construction cost estimates, building and site design compliant with all building codes, agency space policies, security requirements, and any additional agency requirements. Upon final approval of the Complete Stamped and Signed Construction Documents, the building and site shall be constructed as designed and specified, according to all applicable laws and requirements.

Questions pertaining to the forthcomig solicitation received- prior to the issuance of the solicitation- will neither be retained nor answered. Magnitude: >$10,000,000 As a result of the 2020 Creek Fire, many facilities at various locations throughout the forest were destroyed. During the planning process, it was determined to expand other Work Centers versus rebuilding at the burned sites. The Trimmer Work Center and Auberry Sation would be expanded with new construction. These new building would be located at the High Sierra Ranger District. Trimmer Work Center: This project is to design and construct a new Forest Service Full Engine Bay with septic system, two 6-Person Barracks and connect to existing utilities, resigned and replace and reconnect the existing water system, install a new 50K water tank and its components on a concrete foundation and reconnect the system, demolish and disposed of the existing two water tanks and their foundation (10k & 20k gallons), construct a new pre-fab metal building 80ft x 125ft with pull though access with two restroom on concrete foundation (fully insulated and with utilities). Pave parking area in front of the helitack bay and connect to the existing asphalt road. Provide pave parking area for the new barracks and engine bay (parking area to connect to the existing asphalt road). Furnish and install a new flagpole with foundation for the helitack bay and an replace the entrance size for the work center with foundation. Auberry Station: This project is to design and construct a new pre-fab metal building 80ft x 100ft with two roll up bays on one size and office/storage space on the other side on concrete foundation (fully insulated and with utilities), parking areas/open areas in front and adjacent of the metal building to be resigned for proper drainage and repave. Desing and construct a retaining wall along the road in front of the metal building approximately 100ft x 5ft (masonry wall).
