The objective of this contract is to perform maintenance and improvements on 13 bridges throughout Modoc National Forest. Work will include work on approaches (roadway, embankments, drainage features), channels, substructures (abutments, piers, etc.), superstructures (girders, diaphragms, end walls, bearing devices, etc.), decks (slab, curbs, etc.), wearing surfaces (running planks, etc.), and traffic safety features (bridge railings, approach railings, signing, etc.). Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, mobilization, and other incidentals necessary to complete the specified work.

Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit on Thursday, December 21, 2023, 10:00 AM Pacific Time at the Modoc Interagency Hotshot Work Crew Center, Canby, CA 96015 to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost, specifications, and performance of the project. All sites are accessible without prior approval or coordination; however accessibility may be dependent on weather conditions and sites are unlikely to be accessible during the solicitation period so site visits should be conducted during the presolicitation by prospective offerers. Site visits should not be conducted during wet or muddy conditions as they may damage existing roads. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, mobilization, and other incidentals necessary to complete the specified work. The period of performance for this work shall be 365 days from notice to proceed. See attached notice for further details.
