Reminder that while camping may be allowed it is not a guarantee. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-06. This procurement is set aside for Total Small Business. The NAICS code and Small Business Size Standard is 113310 Logging (500 employees). The purpose of this project is to hand-fell, transport, and treat the stumps of designated hazard trees and downed trees within the Chapman Creek Campground. All trees requiring removal have been marked in blue or green paint. The trees targeted for removal cover a wide variety of species, size, and complexity. Sizes range from small/medium trees up to very large mature trees. Treatment requirements include: hand-felling, end-lining, skidding, and removal of included timber and slash. Also required, is the piling and decking in designated disposal sites of all material, applying a borate compound to stumps, and restoring recreation sites. All work is to be completed in order by item number to avoid access issues in the fall/winter season. Chapman Creek Campground is located on Forest Service Road (FSR) 0049-058, 10.7 miles northeast of Sierra City, CA. Legal location Township 21 N., Range 13 E. Section 32.
