Site visit location still the same: Skyforest Work Station, Mountaintop Ranger District, 28104 Highway 18, Skyforest CA 92385 The Purpose of the Grass Valley Fuels Reduction project is to reduce forest fuels and obtain both horizontal and vertical fuel separation in forested stands within the treatment units using various techniques of fuel reduction, green tree thinning, hazard tree removal and yarding of fuels. This work will include, but not limited to, all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, incidental engineering and transportation necessary to perform the stated purpose of this statement of work and may include, cutting, piling and removal of; standing and downed trees, dead and live brush, limbs and designated live conifers, existing slash and forest debris resulting from current and prior operations and/or events. Mastication and chipping are not allowed. Potential equipment that will be required to accomplish all work requirements include but are not limited to: rubber tired skidder with grapples and at least 100 feet of “bull line”, skid steer, chainsaws, and directional felling equipment.
