This contract provides for fuels reduction/modification, fuels removal, timber stand improvement, mistletoe removal and related work on approximately 129 acres in and around Poison Oak Canyon to be performed in compliance to the contract terms, specifications and provisions. The Contractor shall furnish labor; equipment; supervision; transportation (including but not limited to mobilization); operating supplies and incidentals (including but not limited to all water and all registered Annosus Root Disease prevention compound necessary for contract operations). Treatments for oak trees will include : felling of heavily infested mistletoe trees and bucking of the logs to 2 foot lengths, thinning stump sprouts to 3-4 stems per stump, pruning of entire limbs of trees that are moderately infested, and pruning of mistletoe infested limbs from less infested trees. Retain 40-50% crown length on pruned trees. *Site Visit Note: Meeting place will be at 12371 N. Little Tujunga Canyon Road San Fernando, CA 91342. Once everyone arrives will head to site which is 1 1/2 - 2 hours away from the District office.
